Install the right edition for your device
Where the app comes from depends on the device. When we looked in September 2026, Google Play had no Android version in any country. That means Android boxes, phones and Fire OS sticks take the APK from the official IPTV Smarters site, or from a download link our support team shares. Computer installers sit on that official site too, and smart TV store listings differ by model year.
On iPhone, iPad or Apple TV, use Smarters Player Lite
Apple devices get Smarters Player Lite, published by WHMCS Smarters, free in the App Store. It reads the same SyntraTV details as the full app. A Premium option is offered inside, priced at 1.99 dollars on the American App Store when we checked in September 2026. You do not need it to watch.
Pick Login with Xtream Codes API
After you accept the terms, the app offers a few sign-in types. Choose Login with Xtream Codes API. It is the route that gives you proper menus for live TV, films, series and catch-up, plus a fuller guide. The playlist option exists as well, but save that for when support asks you to use it.
Type your three details and add the user
Give the profile a name, such as Living Room. Enter the server URL exactly as sent, with http:// at the start and the port number at the end, then the username and password. Letters are case-sensitive. Tap Add User and wait while the app downloads the channel list, the guide and the on-demand menus. Leave the remote alone until the dashboard appears.
Load the TV guide
Open Live TV and look at the listings next to each channel. If rows are empty, the guide has not arrived yet, so go to Settings and run the EPG update, then reopen Live TV. The guide source comes with your Xtream login, so you never need to paste a separate EPG link into Smarters.
Fix guide times for your time zone
Start with the time zone of the device itself, since every player on it borrows that setting. If programmes still look an hour early or late, open Settings and use EPG Timeshift to move them in one-hour steps. The Time Format option next to it switches between a 12-hour and a 24-hour clock, whichever the family prefers.
Replay missed shows with Catch Up
Tap the Catch Up tile on the dashboard. It lists only the channels that keep an archive. Pick a channel, then a date, then the programme you missed, and press play. The replay window differs from channel to channel, so browse what is there rather than counting on a fixed number of days back.
Save favourites for quick zapping
Live TV shows categories down the side, and 25,000+ channels is a lot to scroll through. Long-press OK on a channel, or open its menu, and add it to favourites. Your favourites group then sits at the top. These lists are saved in the app on that device, so set them up again on each screen.
Add a Kids profile and a parental PIN
Go to the user list and create another profile called Kids, signed in with your usual SyntraTV details. Inside Settings, open Parental Control, choose a four-digit PIN and select every category you want behind it. Locks belong to the profile you set them in, so repeat this in each profile the children can reach.
Browse films and series by name
The Movies and Series tiles group the catalogue into categories, and each title opens an info page with a play button. The search icon is faster than scrolling through 120,000+ titles. Series show seasons and episodes, and most editions offer to resume where you stopped on that device.
Set audio and subtitle languages
While something plays, tap the screen or press OK to bring up the controls, then open the audio or subtitle icon. Every track in the stream is listed there. On some builds you can also store a preferred language in Settings, so every new title opens in it. One option only means the file has one track. Live news and sport channels usually carry a single language, while films more often include a choice.
Turn on hardware decoding for a smooth picture
Open Settings, Player Settings and set decoding to hardware. The chip in your device then does the heavy lifting, which keeps 4K and FHD streams smooth. If one title stutters, change only that title to software decoding. The Stream Format option offers MPEGTS or HLS; try the other if a channel keeps buffering.
Sign in on a second screen
Install the app on the next device and enter the same three details. There is no limit on installs, only on screens playing at once, which your plan sets at 1, 2, 3 or 5. On Android, Multi-Screen shows several channels side by side, and each window counts as one screen.
IPTV Smarters Pro not working? Try these fixes
The app says the account has expired
Your plan end date has passed. Send us a message on WhatsApp to extend it and the same login works again within minutes, with no need to retype anything. SyntraTV plans never renew by themselves, so nothing is charged unless you ask.
Live TV, Movies or Series is empty after sign-in
Tap the refresh icon on the dashboard. If the menus stay empty, log out and in again. A wrong server URL is the usual cause, most often a missing port number after the last colon.
The guide is blank next to every channel
Run the EPG update in Settings and give it a minute before you reopen Live TV. A handful of blank rows is normal, because some broadcasters never share a schedule. If all are blank after an update, sign out and back in.
EPG Timeshift made no difference
The offset only takes effect when listings download again. Change it, update the EPG, and go back into Live TV. When all channels are wrong by one identical gap, the device time zone is the real problem, and fixing it there corrects every app together.
Catch Up lists no channels or no shows
The list holds archived channels only. Past programmes disappear when the device date is wrong, so look at the clock first. Still nothing on a channel you expected? Message us its name on WhatsApp.
Locked categories still show for the kids
Parental Control must be switched on and a PIN saved. Locks are kept per profile, so a lock in the main profile does not cover the Kids profile. Open each profile and check the ticked categories.
Smarters closes by itself on a Fire TV Stick
An overfull cache is the usual culprit. On the stick, open Settings, then Applications, then Manage Installed Applications, select Smarters and clear its cache. Repeated crashes suggest an outdated APK, so ask us for a fresh download link.
A second screen will not play
Your plan allows a set number of screens at once. Stop playback on one device, or wait about a minute for an old session to close. If the family often needs more, a plan with more screens fixes it. Multi-Screen windows count too, so close extra windows before blaming the plan.
Episodes are missing from a series
Smarters shows the library as it looked at its latest sync. Tap refresh on the home screen, or log out and log back in. If an episode is still missing a day later, send us the title, season and episode.
Some menus are missing on a TV or Apple edition
The Samsung, LG and Apple builds carry fewer settings than the Android app, so Multi-Screen or Stream Format may not appear. That is normal. Channels play the same, and guide times follow the TV or device clock. If a missing option matters to you, the Android edition on a stick has the full menu.

Yes. You pay nothing for IPTV Smarters Pro on Android, Fire OS and computers, and Smarters Player Lite is a free download for Apple devices. How do I watch a programme I missed in Smarters?
Open the Catch Up tile, choose the channel, then the date and the show. Only channels with an archive appear in that list, and the length of history varies by channel. If a channel you expected is missing, ask SyntraTV support whether it keeps an archive. Check the device date too, since a wrong clock hides past programmes.
How do I stop my kids watching certain channels?
Inside Settings, Parental Control lets you pick a four-digit code and mark categories as locked. Those groups then ask for the code every time. Add a separate Kids profile so children get their own favourites. Locks apply per profile and per device, so set them on every screen the kids use.
Where do I download IPTV Smarters Pro for Android?
From the official IPTV Smarters website, because Google Play carried no Android listing anywhere when we checked in September 2026. Fire OS sticks follow the same route, or you can use the download link SyntraTV support shares on WhatsApp. Store apps with similar names come from other publishers, so skip them.
Do websites sell an official Smarters subscription?
No. The Smarters developer only publishes the player and supplies no TV channels. Sites selling an official Smarters subscription are reselling some other service under that name. How many devices can use one Smarters login?
Installs are unlimited, so put the app on every device in the house. The limit is on screens streaming together, and your SyntraTV plan fixes that at 1, 2, 3 or 5. If one screen too many starts, the server refuses it until another stops. A family of four watching separately in the evening usually needs the 5-device plan.
What do I lose if I reinstall the app?
Profiles, favourites, resume points and PIN locks are stored in the app on that device, so they go. Your channels, catalogue and plan end date sit on our server and stay untouched. Sign in again with your SyntraTV details and spend a few minutes setting favourites and the lock back up. Writing down your favourite channel numbers first makes the rebuild quicker.
