Setting Up IPTV on a Samsung Smart TV: A Household Walkthrough

Installing IPTV on Samsung Smart TV in 10 easy steps

1. Note your TV model and software

   Open Settings, Support, About This TV. The model code shows roughly which year the set was made, and the software version tells you how current it is. Newer Tizen releases list more players, while older ones may show only Smart IPTV. Keep both details handy, since support may ask for them on WhatsApp.

2. Sign in to Samsung and open Apps

   The store requires a Samsung account before it installs anything. Set the account up on a phone or laptop, then sign in on the TV to avoid typing an email with arrow keys. Press Home, go to Apps and select the magnifying glass to search the whole catalog.

3. Pick IPTV Smarters Pro or Smart IPTV

   Search first for IPTV Smarters Pro. It is free and signs in with Xtream, but not every region carries it. If only Smart IPTV shows up, choose that one. After its trial period, the developer charges one activation per television, 5.49 EUR on siptv.app in September 2026. That fee pays for the app only, never for channels.

4. Sign in to Smarters with Xtream

   Select Login with Xtream Codes API. Type a profile name, then the server address beginning with http:// and ending with the port. Add your username and password exactly as written in WhatsApp, capitals included. Once you save, live groups, listings and the film section appear after a short wait.

5. Or pair Smart IPTV with the M3U link

   Smart IPTV displays the TV MAC address as it opens. On a phone, go to siptv.app/mylist, enter that MAC, then add your SyntraTV M3U link. Ticking Detect EPG brings in listings, and Save online helps on sets with little memory. Send the form, then close the app on the TV and start it again.

6. Set the clock and time zone

   Listings follow the TV clock. The clock sits under General & Privacy, System Manager, Time, Clock. Choose Auto for Clock Mode, then check the time zone. On the newest Tizen versions, the time options sit straight under General & Privacy. With the clock correct, the guide shows every channel at your own local hour, including those from abroad.

7. Find catch-up in Smarters

   Where your Smarters edition shows a Catch Up tile, channels that support replay appear inside it. Choose a channel, then an earlier program, and it plays from the beginning. The replay window depends on the channel, and many channels have no catch-up at all, so treat it as a bonus on selected ones rather than a promise.

8. Lock the player with a PIN

   Samsung sets can lock single apps behind the TV PIN. Look for Apps Lock in the Parental Settings area of General & Privacy, or in the settings of the app tile on newer models. Change the default 0000 PIN first so children cannot guess it. Inside Smarters, Settings, Parental Control hides chosen categories with a separate code.

9. Save favorites for each viewer

   Scrolling 25,000+ channels with arrow keys takes a while, so pick daily channels early. In Smarters, mark them as favorites straight from the channel list. On a shared TV, a second Smarters profile with the same login can hold a short kids list, while the first keeps news and sport. Favorites stay on this TV only.

10. Add a second Samsung TV

    Install the same player on the bedroom set and sign in with identical details. Both TVs can play together if your plan covers two or more screens. With Smart IPTV, the second television needs its own activation from the app developer. Set its clock and PIN too, because nothing copies over from the first set.

No IPTV player appears in the store

Store listings depend on your country and the model year of the set. Send SyntraTV support your model code on WhatsApp and ask for the player that currently works on it. If none appears, a streaming device on a spare HDMI input, Google TV or Fire OS, opens up many more options and uses the same login.

Smart IPTV lost the playlist

A reinstall or factory reset wipes the list from the TV. Visit siptv.app/mylist again, enter the MAC shown in the app, paste the M3U link back in and restart the app. The activation stays linked to that MAC, so there is no second payment to make.

The Xtream login is refused

Typing with the remote causes most slips. Retype the server address carefully: http:// comes first and the port number goes last. Voice typing is best avoided for web addresses, since it adds spaces. Watch the capital letters in the password, and check that the trial or plan is still active.

The guide shows the wrong hours

Check the TV clock and time zone before anything else. If they are right but one country group is still off, use the EPG timeshift in Smarters where your version offers it. Look again after daylight saving changes, whether here or in the country of the channel.

A channel has no Catch Up option

That channel probably does not support replay. Catch-up is offered on selected channels only, and each keeps its own window. Older Smarters builds on Tizen may also lack the tile. Update the app from the store, and ask support which channels in your favorite groups offer replay.

The app lock PIN no longer works

The TV PIN can be reset, but the method differs by model. Many Samsung sets accept a reset sequence from the remote, and the e-Manual on the TV describes it. Samsung support can confirm the steps for your model. Your SyntraTV login and plan are not affected either way.

The player closes after using another input

Tizen suspends apps to free memory when you switch to a console or another source. Reopen the player when you come back. If it crashes often, delete it, restart the TV by holding power until the logo appears, install it again and sign back in. Clearing unused apps also gives Tizen more room to keep the player alive.

The second TV stops the first one

Saving the login on two sets is fine, but a one-screen plan streams to only one at a time. A 2-device plan lets both play at the same moment. With Smart IPTV, also check that each television has its own activation from the app developer.
