Before you open Smart IPTV (SIPTV), have these ready
- A Samsung, LG or Android TV that lists Smart IPTV in its app store
- The MAC address that Smart IPTV shows the first time it opens
- The private SyntraTV M3U link from your WhatsApp activation message
- A phone or computer with a web browser for the upload at siptv.app
Need a SyntraTV login to follow along? Grab a no-card free trial for 24 hours. You can also set up the TV guide (EPG) in your player, learn how catch-up replays work, read how the SyntraTV subscription counts screens, or see plans for 1 to 5 screens.
Smart IPTV (SIPTV) with SyntraTV in 10 easy steps
Install the app and note the MAC
Look up Smart IPTV in the TV app store, install it, then launch it one time. A MAC address fills the opening screen, written as six two-character pairs with colons between them. Snap it with your phone camera, because squinting at twelve characters from the sofa causes most failed uploads.
Send the playlist to siptv.app/mylist
On your phone, open siptv.app/mylist. Enter the MAC exactly as it appears in the photo and paste the SyntraTV M3U link into the URL box. Tick Detect EPG so the TV guide comes with the list. If the set is old and short on memory, add a tick to Save online too. Then press Send. The page confirms when the upload has gone through.
Restart Smart IPTV on the TV
Close the app completely rather than pressing Back, then open it again. It only looks for a new playlist when it starts. Channel groups appear first and the guide follows a little later. Give a long list up to a minute before you start pressing keys.
Set the TV clock and time zone
Smart IPTV reads the clock of the television, so a wrong zone shifts the whole guide. Samsung sets keep it in System Manager, then Time, then Clock. LG models running webOS 6 or newer use General, System, Time & Date, whereas earlier LG sets list Time & Date right inside General. Turn on automatic time and check the zone. Restart Smart IPTV afterwards so the guide reloads with the right hours.
Show the family how to move around
Arrow keys move through groups and channels, and OK plays the one that is highlighted. The exact place of the list and the guide differs a little between Samsung, LG and Android editions. Try it yourself for a couple of minutes first, then walk everyone else through it once. A sticky note with the key steps beside the TV helps older relatives.
Keep a short list of favourite channels
A full SyntraTV list is long, so mark the channels your family watches every day as favourites where your edition supports it. Those favourites are stored in the app on that TV only. If a second TV runs Smart IPTV, set its favourites separately. Keep each list short so younger viewers find their channels quickly.
Know what Smart IPTV can and cannot do
Smart IPTV is a light player built for live channels from one playlist. It reads the guide but has no Xtream login, so there are no film menus, season folders or catch-up screens. That keeps it quick on older TVs. For replays or a proper film library, use an Xtream player on another device. Many families use Smart IPTV on the main TV and Smarters on a stick in another room.
Check audio and subtitle options
During playback, open the app menu to look for another soundtrack. Most live channels carry just one, so do not worry if the list is short. Samsung and LG caption settings in the TV Accessibility menu are aimed at broadcast TV, so inside Smart IPTV whether subtitles appear depends on the stream and your model.
Pay the one-time app fee after you test
When the free trial ends, go to siptv.app/activation and pay with the MAC you used for the upload. The fee is per TV and buys the app only, with no channels included. Card payment works without a PayPal account. Test that your SyntraTV channels play well first. Keep the payment receipt, since it shows the MAC the licence belongs to.
Add Smart IPTV on another TV
Each extra TV needs its own upload and its own app activation, because the licence belongs to one MAC. How many TVs can play at once is set by your SyntraTV plan, 1, 2, 3 or 5 screens. Keep the M3U link safe in WhatsApp, because it is the only key Smart IPTV uses.
Smart IPTV (SIPTV) not working? Try these fixes
The upload worked but the TV shows no channels
Wait a minute, then close the app fully and start it again rather than pressing Back. Check every pair of the MAC on the website against your photo. The app only fetches a playlist when it starts, so an old list can stay until you restart.
siptv.app says the MAC is unknown
siptv.app recognises a television only once the app has been launched on it. Start Smart IPTV, wait for the MAC screen, and submit the form a second time. Keep the colons, and check no zero was typed as the letter O. Comparing against the photo pair by pair is the quickest way to spot it.
The TV guide is empty on every channel
Most likely the Detect EPG box was left clear. Send the upload again with that box ticked, then relaunch the app and allow several minutes for listings. One blank group on its own usually means those broadcasters share no schedule.
Guide times are wrong
Fix the TV clock and time zone in the TV settings, with automatic time on. Smart IPTV has no separate clock, so once the TV is right the guide follows after the next restart of the app. Recheck after daylight saving changes.
A trial expired message appears
That message comes from the app developer asking for the one-time fee; your SyntraTV plan is fine. Pay at siptv.app/activation with the MAC on screen, and channels play again once the payment is confirmed. Your SyntraTV end date does not move.
A different MAC appears after switching to a network cable
A TV has one MAC for Wi-Fi and another for its network port. Send the playlist to whichever MAC the app now displays. Paid already on the Wi-Fi address? Write to the Smart IPTV developer instead of buying a second licence.
Menus are slow on an older TV
A long playlist eats memory on older sets. Repeat the upload with Save online selected, pull the TV plug for sixty seconds and shut any other apps. Still sluggish? Ask SyntraTV on WhatsApp about a lighter list for that model.
Sound plays but the picture is black
Older televisions often cannot decode some formats, 4K in particular. Switch to the FHD or HD copy of that channel. If a whole group does this, a streaming stick is the lasting fix.

Smart IPTV (SIPTV) and SyntraTV: your questions
Is Smart IPTV the same as SS IPTV?
No. Two different developers make them, which is why the names feel so close. Smart IPTV ties a playlist to the TV MAC by way of siptv.app; SS IPTV instead shows a short code you enter on its own site. Either app accepts your SyntraTV M3U link, so install the one your TV store offers.
Is the Smart IPTV player free?
Not fully. It begins with a free trial, after which the developer charges once per television; the price at our September 2026 check was 5.49 EUR. The fee pays for the app only. Channels come from your service, such as SyntraTV, which you can test with a 24-hour free trial.
Does Smart IPTV have a TV guide?
Yes. Tick Detect EPG when you upload your SyntraTV link at siptv.app/mylist, then restart the app. The guide uses the TV clock, so set the correct time zone in the TV settings. A few channels have no published schedule and stay blank. If every row is empty, upload again with Detect EPG ticked.
Can I watch catch-up in Smart IPTV?
Not in the usual way. Smart IPTV reads a single playlist and has no Xtream login, so it does not build catch-up screens. For replays on channels with an archive, use an Xtream player such as IPTV Smarters Pro or TiViMate with the same SyntraTV account. It can run on a stick plugged into the same TV.
Do I pay again after a factory reset?
No. The licence is tied to the TV network MAC, and a reset does not change it. A reset does clear the saved playlist, so upload your SyntraTV link to the same MAC again at siptv.app/mylist and restart the app. The developer only needs to step in if a repair changes the network board and with it the MAC.
Does one payment cover all my TVs?
No. Each Smart IPTV licence covers one TV, so a second set needs its own fee. Streaming limits are a separate thing, set by your SyntraTV plan: 1, 2, 3 or 5, depending on the plan you picked. Two TVs with two licences still need a plan that covers two screens at once.
How do I know I have the real Smart IPTV app?
Several TV stores carry copycats with almost the same name. The real Smart IPTV always directs you to siptv.app for linking a playlist to your MAC. Check the developer name and that address in the store listing before you pay anything. If a lookalike asks for payment inside the app instead, uninstall it.
