TiViMate with SyntraTV in 13 easy steps
Install TiViMate on your TV
Google TV and Android TV owners find TiViMate IPTV Player in Google Play and install it at no cost. Amazon Fire TV sticks need the Downloader app to sideload it, a method that only suits Fire OS. There is no TiViMate for Samsung, LG or Apple TVs; those screens are better served by IPTV Smarters Pro.
Add SyntraTV as an Xtream Codes playlist
Open the app and choose Add playlist, then Xtream Codes. Type the server URL, the username and the password from our WhatsApp message, and press Next. TiViMate connects and shows how many channels it found. Tick the option to include films and series if you want them in the app as well. The first load can take a minute on a busy stick.
Name the playlist and keep only useful groups
Name the playlist SyntraTV. The next screen shows every channel group. Untick the groups nobody in the house will watch and keep the rest. You can bring any group back later, so it is fine to start small and add more once people know their way around.
Put the family groups at the top
Go to Settings, Playlists, SyntraTV, Manage groups. Move the groups you open most, such as news, sport, kids or a home-country group, to the top of the list, and hide the others. A short list is easier for grandparents and children to scroll with a remote. Give each group a clear place, so everyone knows where to look.
Let the TV guide load and refresh
Your Xtream login already carries the guide, so there is no EPG link to add. In the EPG part of Settings, choose how often the guide updates; once or twice a day works well. A regular refresh keeps listings right when schedules change around holidays or new seasons.
Set the right time zone for the guide
Most wrong times come from the device clock, so check the Android time zone first. Still seeing shifted listings? In Settings, go to EPG, then EPG sources, select the source and nudge Time offset one hour at a time. After a clock change in spring or autumn, check again, then set it back to zero once listings catch up.
Save favourites for each person
Long-press OK on a channel and add it to favourites. The favourites group can sit first in the list so the evening channels are always two presses away. Favourites are stored in TiViMate on that one device, so if the bedroom TV needs the same list, add it there too.
Try the free version first
Watch for a few days before you pay for anything. Even without paying, TiViMate shows the grid guide, lets you manage groups and holds a single playlist. Buy Premium in the Companion app if you want more
You can only buy Premium inside TiViMate Companion, a phone app for Android, choosing either a twelve-month or a lifetime licence. One TiViMate account can then unlock up to five devices. In September 2026, the highest Companion purchase on Google Play was 33.99 dollars; prices vary by country.
Replay missed shows with catch-up
With Premium, channels that keep an archive show a small symbol in the guide. Scroll left in the grid to a show that already aired and press OK to play it. The replay window varies by channel, so look in the guide to see how far back each one goes.
Lock grown-up groups with a PIN
Open Settings, Parental control and create a PIN. Then lock whole groups or single channels, and lock the settings page too if curious hands tend to wander there. Newer versions keep this feature for Premium, so a greyed-out menu means Premium is not active on that TV. Test the lock once by opening a locked group yourself.
Make playback smooth
In Settings, Playback, turn on Auto frame rate so the TV matches each channel, which removes judder on sport and films. Fire TV Stick owners should keep the Amazon frame-rate match setting switched off, otherwise it fights with TiViMate. If a channel pauses on Wi-Fi, raise Buffer size by one step. A cable to the router is the steadier fix when one is within reach.
Add the same login on another TV
Install TiViMate on the next Android TV or stick and add the same Xtream details. Your SyntraTV plan decides how many can play at once: 1, 2, 3 or 5 screens. With Premium, sign in to your TiViMate account on each TV to unlock it there as well. Favourites and hidden groups need setting up on each TV, since they stay on the device.
TiViMate not working? Try these fixes
The playlist will not load
Look at the end of the server URL: a missing port number is the slip we see most. Then check that the plan is still active. Type the password by hand, since a pasted one can carry a hidden space at the end. Still stuck? Send a photo of the error to support on WhatsApp.
The guide shows No information
Trigger a manual guide refresh under Settings, EPG, then quit TiViMate and start it again. Some channels may still show nothing because their broadcasters publish no schedule at all.
Every programme is an hour off
Check the Android time zone and automatic time first. If the clock is right, use Time offset on the EPG sources page. Around daylight saving switches, a source can lag for several days; clear the offset once it has corrected itself.
Catch-up does not appear
Replays need Premium and a channel with an archive, which shows a symbol in the guide. No symbol means nothing to replay. A wrong date on the device also hides past shows, so check the clock.
Parental control is greyed out
On newer versions the lock is part of Premium. Buy or activate Premium in the Companion app and sign in on that TV. Until then, hide grown-up groups in Manage groups as a simple fallback.
Films and series are missing
TiViMate is built mainly for live TV, and on-demand titles show only if you ticked them when adding the playlist. Look in the playlist settings. If the family browses films a lot, IPTV Smarters Pro reads the same SyntraTV login with fuller menus.
Multi-view only shows one channel
Multi-view needs Premium, and each tile plays as a separate screen on your plan. On a 1-device plan only one tile will play. Two tiles call for the 2-device plan, while four tiles at once call for the 5-device plan.
A second playlist asks for Premium
Without Premium, TiViMate keeps a single playlist. Either upgrade or delete the existing playlist first. If two accounts must share one TV at no cost, IPTV Smarters Pro handles several users.
Channels pause during a match
Turn on Auto frame rate and raise the buffer one step. Check that the TV or stick can decode the stream you picked, and try a cable to the router, which fixes most pauses on busy Wi-Fi.

Which player is best for IPTV on a television?
For live channels on Android-based TVs and Fire OS sticks, TiViMate leads, with a grid guide, fast zapping and tidy group control. When the evening is mostly films and box sets, IPTV Smarters Pro browses more easily. Both read the same SyntraTV login, so you can keep both installed.
Is TiViMate free?
Yes for the basics: live channels, the whole grid guide and one playlist cost nothing. Paying for Premium unlocks catch-up, recordings, multi-view, parental control and more playlists, and it is sold in the Companion app. Avoid modified builds that promise free Premium, because they can carry malware and put your login at risk.
Does TiViMate include channels?
No. TiViMate is only a player, and the licence pays for features, not TV. Channels come from a service such as SyntraTV, added as a playlist. Without one, the guide stays empty on both the free and Premium versions, so be wary of anyone bundling a licence with channels. Buy the licence from Companion only, and choose your service separately.
How do I watch a show I missed in TiViMate?
You need Premium and a channel that keeps an archive, marked by a symbol in the guide. Scroll back in the grid to the programme and press OK. How far back you can go changes from channel to channel, so check the guide for each one. Free users can still use the same SyntraTV login in Smarters, whose Catch Up tile costs nothing.
Can I lock channels from my kids in TiViMate?
Yes. Open Settings, Parental control, create a PIN and lock groups or single channels. On newer versions this needs Premium. Without it, you can still hide grown-up groups in Manage groups, which keeps them off the main list but does not ask for a code. For a real PIN lock without paying, IPTV Smarters Pro includes one free.
Does one Premium licence cover several TVs?
Yes. One TiViMate account unlocks Premium on up to five devices. How many TVs may stream together is a different matter, decided by your SyntraTV plan; three sets playing at the same time need the 3-device plan or larger.
Why is the TiViMate guide showing the wrong time?
Usually the device time zone is wrong. Fix it in the Android settings with automatic time switched on. If one source is still off, adjust Time offset under EPG sources by whole hours, and check again after the clocks change for summer time. Set the offset back to zero once the source corrects itself, or the guide will drift the other way.
Is a TiViMate account the same as my SyntraTV login?
No. A TiViMate account exists only to hold a Premium licence. Your SyntraTV login is what delivers channels and sets how many screens can stream. On the free version you never create a TiViMate account at all; you simply add the SyntraTV playlist and watch.
Can I use TiViMate on a phone or tablet?
No. TiViMate is built for TV screens and remotes. The Companion phone app only buys and manages Premium. For phones and tablets, pick IPTV Smarters Pro on Android or Smarters Player Lite on Apple, then type in the SyntraTV details you already use. Your screen limit applies across all of them.
